Samuel Kalibala

Samuel Kalibala, MD, ABH, is a medical doctor born in Uganda who lives in Maryland, USA. He works as an international public health consultant, supporting HIV/AIDS programmes in Africa funded by the U.S. government. Outside his day job, he is a primary healthcare missionary, raising funds to support free primary healthcare services for remote rural villages in Uganda. When he was young, his nickname was Musa, the reverse of his name Samu. Hence, he chose the name Musa for the character who plays his role in the book. This book is based on his experiences during his final years of medical school and in the period after his graduation. It is a work of historical fiction that spans from 1983, when he was in his fourth year of medical school, to 2024, by which time he was a grandfather of five. Dr. Kalibala is also the author of Ambitions and Keeping Up Appearances in the Making of a Doctor, Dorrance Publishing Co. 2025.
