Kendall Blanchard is an anthropologist and retired university president. He has published many journal articles and eight nonfiction academic books, including his most successful work, The Anthropology of Sport (Greenwood Press,1998). He has also published two novels, Grimshaw’s Ghost Dance (American Press, 2006) and The Gift of Tongues Untied (Atmosphere Press, 2024). He currently resides in Lenexa, Kansas, with his wife, Dr. Connie Garcia Blanchard, who is also a writer and retired university professor.
