Carol L. Steingreaber will be signing copies of Pants Optional at Beaverdale Books on 8th August from 18:30- 21:00. In her first autobiography, Carol Steingreaber offers a hilarious, unrestricted insight into her life thus far in Iowa, USA. The reader is a privileged passenger on the journey, invited to buckle up for the ride as Carol shares her stories from the sibling squabbles of childhood, to cringeworthy dating moments, marriage and various stages of motherhood. Her witty, "tell-it-straight" writing style conjures up images you can't help but laugh at, often accompanied by photos that speak a thousand (usually comical) words. Carol provides the reader with "UNconventional tips" on a whole range of themes such as housework and hospitals, illness and injury, Nerf guns and nudity, safety concerns and sex, friendship, faith and a great many more. Moments of eternal embarrassment are interspersed with flashes of comic/parenting genius, and every reader will find a nugget or three (or twenty!) to inspire them. A cracking read, and highly recommended.
Roger Openshaw and Adrian Phillips will be signing copies of "The War That Was Not" at Bennett's Massey University Campus Bookstore on Wednesday 3rd August from 4-6pm.
Kenneth Dutton will be signing copies of his debut novel Path of Least Resistance at The Avid Reader at Tower in Sacramento on Saturday 1st August at 13:00. An indictment of the world's banking systems and the grip they have on us all. Kenneth Dutton has presented an argument which states that, ‘The international banking cartel aims to make the entire world wage slaves as it pushes daily for one world government.' His view is that the principal holders of wealth have manipulated world events, in order to control by wealth. Cases are cited where assassinations or murders have taken place to protect the activities of such families, with the involvement of leading politicians and other public figures. In order to control international finance, this argument claims that the Federal Reserve has successfully counterfeited billions of dollars in plain view of the American public and that this stock has been, and always will be, held by a handful of families who own the central bank. His bleak forecast as to the future of America, if this continues, makes interesting reading. Kenneth Dutton is fifth generation Californian born on New Year's Day at Connor Hospital, San José. His family established a successful pear growing business in the Santa Clara Valley from the early Bear Flag Republic 1840s to the late 1950s. Mr Dutton is a graduate of Sonoma State University as well as 20 year member of U.A. Local 393 Plumbers/Pipefitters, San José, CA.
