Owed to My Mother and Moral Inventory Reviewed by the Midwest Book Review
Two of Austin Macauley’s titles are featured by The Midwest Book Review and are highly recommended on The Fiction Shelf. The Midwest Book Review reviewed N. T. Keahon’s book Owed to My Mother which is a historical fiction based on events from author’s personal life and Tara Johnson’s Moral Inventory which is contemporary general fiction and is especially recommended to be added to community library’s Contemporary General Fiction collection.
Owed to My Mother is a debut novel of the author and it is the story of a strong woman, Nadine, who worked endlessly throughout her life and quickly moved up the ladder of success in her career. She had just been promoted to a new office when she was informed that her mother has been diagnosed with stage four cancer. Nadine had to choose between her career and her mother. She chose to spend time with her mother and took care of her. What followed is a beautiful tale of mother-daughter love filled with heartfelt emotions.
N.T. Keahon resides in her beautiful home in Northern California with her adorable dog, Joaquin. She is a single woman who loves her life. She enjoyed writing her debut novel so much that currently, she is working on two more books.
Moral Inventory is a very attention-grabbing story of a seventeen-year-old girl Elizabeth, stuck in a messed up life situation which she thought was working out fine for her. She was doing a decent job, navigating through the obstacles that came her way in life, until her mother decided to take her to see the family counselor. She was so confident in her manipulation skills that she thought she could easily deceive her mother and the counselor but she underestimated her mother’s determination and finally, she had to face the reality that she had fought so hard to avoid.
Tara Johnson was born and raised in New York but she has been living in Florida for over thirty years. Tara is a journalist and creative writer. She is a family oriented person and loves to stay back at home with her family. She is competently gifted when it comes to generating interest in her readers.
