Terms of Estrangement
After almost 50 years of battling an unwanted sexual identity that had promised him an afterlife in hell, Greg made the decision to give up the fight in 2019. Decades of depression and aversion/reparative “ex-gay” therapy – which consisted of sniffing dog feces while thumbing through cologne magazine ads and participating in awkward “gay men’s basketball” bonding sessions – had landed Greg in two separate mental hospitals, leaving him disillusioned and suicidal and with a choice that had to be made.
However, ‘coming out’ had its costs.

The 2,003-Yard Odyssey
“It was a season where the impossible became possible. It was a season where the hard to believe became believable.”
--Marv Levy, Pro Football Hall of Fame Coach.
The 1973 Buffalo Bills made pro football history. They had an offense that broke several important rushing records during that memorable year. And they had a superstar running back by the name of O.J. Simpson, who broke a glass ceiling of sorts by becoming the first man -- and indeed the only man -- to ever rush for more than 2,000 yards in one 14-game regular season. That glory-filled accomplishment provided the celebrated culmination to this epic tale of a week-by-week journey from an initial goal to its triumphant ending.
In The 2,003-Yard Odyssey: The Juice, The Electric Company, and an Epic Run for a Record, several members of that Buffalo Bills team recall their memories of that year. They discuss how that 1973 season began with a bunch of question marks, then how a boast by one of their offensive linemen led to a challenge for the whole squad to address. A major focus in this book are the feats of the incomparable O.J. Simpson, who earned pro football fame and glory with his record-breaking 1973 performance. This story recounts how Simpson set a mark that was thought of by most people to be impossible to achieve. It was an odyssey unlike any other in NFL annals, and it is explored in concentrated depth and detail within these pages.
Joe Zagorski is a member of the Pro Football Writers of America and the Pro Football Researchers Association. He has written several previous books about various teams and players of the NFL. He is also a contributing writer to the website Pro Football Journal and the administrator of the Facebook page, The NFL in the 1970s. He resides in Oak Ridge, Tennessee.
Marv Levy, who wrote the foreword for this book, is a coaching legend in both the United States and in Canada. He led the Buffalo Bills to four straight Super Bowl appearances from 1990 to 1993. He is also an honored member of the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

The American
America has gone beyond ethicality. Education is not lacking in ethical behavior, although it is lacking in morality. Children know too well what is good and what is bad. If parents were to fail in teaching so, the entire system will take care of teaching it. America has gone so far by making law enforcement greater every day, that it is becoming unethically ethical. When all is enforced, all actions are watched, and everyone is afraid. When people are afraid, they become violent.

The Education of a Musician's Daughter
Attending college in the late 60s and early 70s was a challenge, but for Susan (now known as Sonya), it was also a blessing. Despite suffering an identity crisis during her sophomore year and navigating the pitfalls of the drug culture, Susan ultimately benefited from the open-minded spirit of the era.
This book, however, starts at the beginning of Susan’s education, during her kindergarten year, where she flourished in a magical world shared with her best friend. This idyllic time abruptly ended when her father uprooted the family from their Queens apartment to Schenectady for a job teaching music in public schools. The transition was difficult, and it took years for Susan to thrive in her new environment. Her awkward growth spurt alienated her from peers, and an encounter with a bully left her traumatized. Yet, the most challenging relationship was with her mother.
Fortunately, Susan was guided by a series of role models. Her father, a soulful musician, remained devoted and his love shone through the darkest times. Her Hebrew School principal, a Holocaust survivor, inspired her with his faith and New Age vision of the future. Two public school teachers believed in her, fostering her self-confidence. Under the wings of her Aunt Sonia, a disabled woman with an infectious positive attitude, Susan thrived. Aunt Sonia’s captivating stories also illuminated their fascinating family history.

The Gift of God's Word
“Oh, Lord, tell me!
How was His body when He ascended to Your heavenly center?
Was He brightly magnificent in holiness prepared to heaven enter?
Was He clothed in purity and devotion, though stripped by our sin?
Was He wearing goodness and sanctity as He entered therein?”
From the poem “His Body,” the eminently spiritual poetic verse from the pen of D. Ferris Arfaa contains the meaning and effect for which so many people are searching today.
Guided by the intent of divine inspiration, the author’s collection of verse, The Gift of God’s Word, is just that: a magnificent gift!
Realized from scripture, this book contains poems that reflect on the teachings and life of Jesus Christ as revealed in the gospels of Luke and Matthew.
They are invented to uplift, educate, and illuminate God’s love and the power of faith, while establishing and understanding the way toward salvation. And that’s the best gift of all!
