The book invites readers to reflect on their role in shaping the future of American policing.   Troy Bobbitt is a retired U.S. Border Patrol Supervisory Agent who began his federal career in December 2003, serving in Texas and Minnesota. He worked in various roles including fieldwork, immigration checkpoints, and as an interdiction K9 handler before being promoted to supervisory agent in 2008. Bobbitt completed his career at the Duluth, MN Border Patrol Station, known for its small staff and broad responsibilities. Before joining the Border Patrol, he worked as a paralegal in Minneapolis and St. Paul. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice from St. Cloud State University and has a background in security and surveillance. Bobbitt's career was marked by routine training and minimal use of his firearm, reflecting the reality of law enforcement's demanding yet often uneventful nature.
