Good Triumphs over Evil in ‘The Price of Freedom’
Rawtensall Library will play host to Colin Denby for the book event of ‘The Price of Freedom’ in mid-April. The author will talk about Conrad Davenport, the protagonist of the story, and how he develops into a Special Operations Soldier. The plot follows his journey from a sickly child to an elite soldier. But he is not just any old aggressive hero that only knows how to kill people, he has his vulnerabilities. These weaknesses are what create tension in the story and puts Conrad in dangerous situations. The plot is ultimately about the fight between good and evil but the conclusion is as unexpected as any you have ever read. The thriller is inspired by Colin’s own life in many ways. He was a frail child and doctors informed his mother that he would not survive. Yet he proved them all wrong and became a decorated soldier in the British Army.
