Cheryl R. Nolan at McCrossins Mill
Cheryl R. Nolan will be signing copies of her debut novel "The Shepherd's Wife" at McCrossins Mill in Uralla NSW on Sunday 22nd May from 3pm.
The novel follows Claire Nolan, who accompanies her husband Ben on a sabbatical to England during his leave from university in Australia. Armed with a few scant pieces of information about her ancestors, Claire begins to investigate her family origins. As her quest for information progresses, the reader is introduced to Suffolk shepherd Sam Marsh and his wife, Mary-Ann.
Imbued with romance and adventure, their story reveals their love of family, pride in work, and loyalty to their community, and the frustrations of a society where advances are impossible for the illiterate shepherd.
Cheryl Nolan was formerly a teacher in Australia, Papua New Guinea, USA, including schools in both the public and the private sectors, catering for mainstream and special students. She also worked as a Director/Writer/Performer for a professional travelling theatre restaurant in Australia.
