WOW WOW WOW what a captivating story—could not put down for one minute, A tragicomedy of epic proportion, the story is a real wake-up call for all of us who have older or elderly parents and all the things that might or can go wrong, especially when one or both have dementia. Now wait! If this sounds depressing, sure, parts of it are, but Stephanie Mendelson deserves kudos for portraying their end-of-life struggles with so much love, humor, and wit—I laughed and cried at the sheer incredulity of the daily challenges that awaited her. OMG! My impression is that Ms. Mendelson has a heart of gold, an indomitable spirit, and is a wellspring of inexhaustible energy—a testament to her own character and strength. I cannot recommend this book highly enough for every person with living parents.
