Claire La Clair (Miss Claire) resides in New Britain, Connecticut, where she was born in 1939. She attended local schools and graduated from New Britain High School, Class of 1957. A senior today, she has recently retired as a school crossing guard after 20 years at Vance Village School in New Britain, CT. It was working that job for 20 years that inspired this story.
