In the course of this novella, Nexus keeps transforming himself and becomes more brutal. Neither the Twins nor the Wellikans are killers, and they must somehow find a way to end the ruthless activities of the dictator Nexus.

Fortunately, they manage to find the most appropriate punishment for all the crimes that Nexus has committed.

It is not clear where the Twins and the Wellikans are at the end of this novella, but you can be certain that the world is a better place in which to live.

Jack Zipes is a retired professor from the University of Minnesota, where he taught courses in folk and fairy tales. A prolific author and political activist since the 1960s.
