This is a beautifully written story depicting God’s love and sovereignty. The author’s imaginative and descriptive writing caused me to feel as though I was watching the story unfold rather than actually reading the words. The story is relevant to any young heart in search of “God’s best”, but the content will also be appreciated by mature readers who have likely experienced the same emotions in days past. I would strongly recommend this book to anyone who appreciates a beautifully written, God-inspired story!

Happenstance by Tammy Mentzer Brown is a great read. It will make you cry and make you think about things one needs to value in a relationship. A great story of young love and heartache, but staying true to yourself and trusting in Him is always the right answer. I can wait to see what Tammy will have for her fans in the future.

A great book that I couldn’t put down until done. The author did a great job describing the Southern town and places in order to get you swept away into the life of a young woman seeking the answers to life, love and her faith.

A very sweet story, reminiscent of love stories I used to read years ago, back when romance books were pure and clean! If you like those too you will enjoy it immensely. Tammy is very descriptive and I loved reading a story that takes place in a part of the South that I knew.

This book is a wonderful choice for all ages but especially for young women entering the stage of committed Romantic choice. The importance of keeping relationships in line with core spiritual values is a theme which wins in the end!

This is a great book about young people following their hearts but trying to be smart about it and not just jumping at the first person who pays them a bit of serious attention. The main character knows what she really wants out of life and is not willing to compromise her principles, sometimes almost to her own detriment. It also shows that we have to be willing to wait and put things in God’s hands for the best He has for us. I could not put the book down. The end of each chapter made me eager to see what was to come next. It would make a great graduation gift or a “just because” gift for any teen. I am a grandmother and I enjoyed it.

I recently read Happenstance and I can honestly say, I didn't want the story to end. I love how Tammy Mentzer Brown was able to weave all the fundamental basics of a relationship, along with strong, moral values, into this heart-warming story about youngsters starting out in life. It was wonderful to watch as their faith grew and to have the reminder, that if we trust God, all turns out for the better. I read the book, was hooked from page 1 and to some extent, begrudged life taking over at times, forcing me to stop reading. Tammy has an incredible capability of describing everything, to the point that I forgot I was reading. It was as if I were there, watching and hearing the characters. I often have to try to imagine what a place might look like when reading books, but with Happenstance, I could see it all without thinking. I hope many youngsters will read 'Happenstance,' it's truly inspirational, though readers of any age, will thoroughly enjoy the read. I am looking forward to the release of Tammy's next book. I have it on good authority, that she has another one in the pipeworks. I love her writing style and I hope she'll write many more books in the future.

Tammy Mentzer Brown has written an endearing story of navigating the waters of young adulthood. It captures the joys and sorrows of growing up and shows how you can be friends with people whose beliefs/values may not be the same as yours without compromising your own. This is a great book for everyone to enjoy but also useful to those of us with teens.
