In this kingdom, the inhabitants have three options: To hide in the darkness throughout the day, to run throughout the day escaping from their shadows, or the third option, to wake up every morning when the sun rises and its disk shines in the sky and kneel before their shadows, announce servitude, and then follow their shadows in total obedience.

The King of this kingdom keeps the flames and lanterns on and keeps his shadow alive day and night. He controls his shadow, and his shadow controls all other shadows.
