  Over 5 years ago, the author Cliff Kucine, was diagnosed with terminal cancer and given three months to live. He refused to accept this death sentence and resolved to fight by any and all means. His healing journey took him to alternative practitioners, healing circles, rabbis and ultimately, a Native American Medicine Man. Cliff has documented his journey through interviews with friends and healers. This was very much a communal effort and, full disclosure, my husband Steve Gleit and I are in the book. Cliff, a gifted photographer, accompanies each vignette with a beautiful portrait that seems to capture the essence of each person. I highly recommend this remarkable book for anyone in need of inspiration.
