Carrie Weis
Carrie Weis is a writer, painter, curator, educator, and naturalist. She serves as Museum & Gallery Director for the College of Arts, Sciences, and Education at Ferris State University in Big Rapids, Michigan.
Weis earned an MFA in Painting from Kendall College of Art & Design and completed a Creative Writing Certificate at Ferris State University. Her artwork and writing have been featured in numerous exhibitions and publications.
Living in rural Michigan with her husband Daniel and their five cats, Weis is deeply influenced by the surrounding water, wildlife, and landscape. The Full Moon series emerged from hiking, children’s toys, a body of paintings, and a desire to send a love letter out to the universe.
