The journey of becoming one with God started pretty early in my life. It started with my mother taking my siblings and I to church in Beallsville, FL.I turned to God on and off throughout my teen years and early twenties. God became my counselor when my mother died from complications from a surgery. The death of my mom became my darkest hour. And even though at the beginning I blamed God, He never left my side. As I began to come to terms with it all and fully trust God, my life began to elevate. My marriage of two years began to blossom and overflow with true love.The day I chose God was the best day of my life. He has taught me how to hear His voice and meditate on His word.—Sonya K. Dunn
