M. Garrison Smith was born and raised in southwest Missouri and currently makes his home in rural Missouri, where long drives down state highways and county roads helped him create his first work, Sermons in Dust. With a deep love and gratitude for the outdoors, he hopes his work is permeated with that love of nature and that ever-needed separation from the trials and tribulations of modern life.
As far as his faith is concerned, it’s been kept mostly a secret until now, but he’d rather express that faith in action and good deeds, and its expression in art, not in a hollow conversation.
