Born and raised in New Jersey, Karen earned her BS in education and MA in administration. She served as an educator/administrator in Virginia Beach City public schools, retiring after 32 years. During her career, she was twice named Teacher of the Year, 2012 VBCPS Assistant Principal of the Year, and Virginia Association of Elementary School Principals’ 2012 National Outstanding Assistant Principal for Virginia.
Karen resides in Virginia with Dennis, her loving husband of 50 years. They raised two handsome sons who married and blessed them with five wonderful grandchildren.
Karen is the author of two published books, Mr. Butt-Wiggles Finds a Name and Mr. Butt-Wiggles Tames the Bully.
