Erin O’Leary was born in Montana. Her father worked for the government, so they moved throughout the western states. She married a rancher’s son whose family’s property was 6,000 acres in Central California in San Benito County, which was homesteaded in the late 1800s. Erin moved back home to Montana as a single mother, remarried, and raised her three children here. She obtained her college degree at the University of Montana and currently lives in the Bitterroot Valley.
Morgan Maguire ranched with her family along the highline between Montana and Canada.
