Raised in Russia, but travelled globally from Morocco to Mexico, Irene Kurbé brought a rich tapestry of experiences to her work. Being a romantic soul, Irene developed her passion for writing poems early on. Growing up she did extensive reading of religious texts, fairy tales, classic novels and various poets who influenced her work a lot. Her life experiences, including changing three countries of residence, working fifteen different jobs and the pressure of her family, deeply shaped her literary works. Today Kurbé resides in Florida where she creates captivating and empowering unique haikus.
