Kathryn Clark

Kathryn Clark, also known as ‘Queen Paintbrush,’ is a retired New York State art educator. She now lives in the mountains of Western North Carolina with her husband, Richard. The title ‘Queen Paintbrush’ was given to Kathryn after she won Art-Teacher-of-the Year in region 7 twice over a 38-year career. During her reign as ‘Queen Paintbrush,’ Kathryn trained over 200 teachers. She was known to say, “I don’t teach Art, I teach kids.”
