Joycee Kennedy LCSW is a diplomate in clinical social work and a diplomate with the American Academy of Experts in Traumatic Stress. For 17 years she has been a trauma specialist and clinical supervisor with The Empowerment Program, Inc., in Denver. Before Empowerment, Joycee worked in community mental health for 25 years—mostly with children and families in Colorado.Joycee earned a BA degree from the University of Connecticut in 1973, and was elected to Phi Beta Kappa. She received her MSW from the University of Denver in 1978. Joycee has contributed to multiple books, journals, a video, and has co-authored a book.
