J.M. Leising

J.M. Leising has a Ph.D. in English and American literature from Brandeis University (1976), and has been practicing the art of story writing since 1975. Never until now, however, completely happy with the results, he has sent out just one story manuscript for publication in all that time, while publishing several short articles and essays on environmental issues in the 1980s and 1990s. Aside from his environmental and ecological concerns, he has acted in opposition to nuclear power and weapons, taken unpopular positions against wars waged in the interest of financial elites, and chosen to remain marginal in the mainstream’s consumer-driven economy. He lives now in Portland, OR.
