Ashlie H. Eckert
Ashlie H. Eckert grew up in a small canal town in Northeast Pennsylvania, where she was the youngest of three girls and daughter to high school sweethearts and the town Homecoming Queen. Always striving to meet her family’s expectations, she was a rigorous student-athlete and friend to an irreplaceable crew of childhood companions. Struck by her father’s untimely death at age eleven, she had a choice to make. To sink into an abyss sleeping with his cologne on her pillow every night, or to continue to meet her family’s expectations. Her college roommate still refers to her as the “Comeback Kid”.
Decades later and after a series of rather more untimely and unfortunate events, Ashlie H. Eckert felt compelled to get her words on paper; to share her misfortunes and her secret to maintaining her sense of humor, poise and adventure… Take your marks, get set, go.
Perspective was conceived in 2011 and finally came to fruition nearly 14 years later. This book’s content is from her earlier years, with an enormity of content to come as she continues her pursuit to share the good life.
