Deborah Downes is a children’s book writer and novelist who has written several picture books including her debut book Susie the Goat, followed by Susie the Goat Goes to School. Fox and the Raccoon is her first published work. Deborah lives near Austin, Texas, where she is inspired by the delightful creatures she watches in the Hill Country surrounding her home.
