Lura Alexander
Lura is delighted with stories. As a mother, teacher, and therapist she has drawn on stories to equip with literacy, demonstrate challenging concepts, and to learn about the experiences of others. Though her own children have grown past children’s books, treasured stories have been a source of joy in family life, and she is pleased to make this her first contribution to the world of children’s literature. Born and raised in the Pacific Northwest, she and her family have felt challenges that come with the suburban sprawl, including traffic, changes in the pace of life, and even an occasional farm animal in the street. She hopes this book will bring joy and engagement, and moments of connection between children and caregivers.
