Our fabulous author, Natasha Williams will be interviewed with Viewpoint Alabama about her latest memoir,  Push Forward. The interview will be airing at 7 PM, March 6th, 2022 on 105.5 FM WERC and IHeart Radio.    Push Forward is an amazing memoir about the life of the author, the book shares the story of the transition and the experience that she learned. The book shares the unpredictability of life, the twists in them and the lessons that are learned with these experiences. The book is available to order here.   Natasha Williams is a remarkable creative writer with a love for writing from an early age. In her 20s, she had a passion for writing poetry. She has done several word performances in her hometown, Birmingham, AL.  Push Forward is her latest book sharing her life journey.

Book Signing Event by Tom Fahey at Barnes & Noble

Tom Fahey will be holding a book signing event at Barnes & Nobles on February 26, 2022, at noon for his book 43 days of Reflections and Ruminations. The signing will take place at the Barnes & Noble located at 1565 Briargrate Boulevard in Colorado Springs. The event will allow fans and readers to meet Tom in person and hear about his journey in writing his book. The book 43 days of Reflections and Ruminations is a general discussion of Tom's learnings in life. He had time to reflect upon these during the 43 cancer treatment sessions that he underwent. During the treatment, he found himself having time to sit and write and wanted to capture his thoughts in written form, so, his children and family could then read later on. What started as a personal memoir turned into something more when other family members encouraged him to publish it. Tom Fahey is a retired sales management professional who has traveled around the world. This gave him ample time to read. He has averaged 90 books a year for about 40 years. He loves participating in sports and spending time with his family. He is a husband, father, and grandfather.

Virtual Book Discussion by Neil J. Smith at Queens Public Library

Author Neil J. Smith will be holding a virtual book discussion at the Queens Public Library on the 8th of February to celebrate Black History Month. The event will take place between 7 to 8 pm. The discussion will be moderated by Charles C. Smith and will discuss in length the book, On the Ropes, written by Smith. The event will be held virtually through Facebook events, and a link has been provided for participants to join. The event is part of a larger celebration of Black History Month at Queens Public Library, where this year, the harsh realities that affect the health of the black community are being highlighted through various events and activities. The book, On the Ropes, is about Percival Jones, who is a young boxer and African American. His life takes a drastic turn due to some tragic events. The novel is set in the 1960s when the African American community was struggling with racism and white supremacy. The events told throughout the book echo what many in the black community faced when trying to grapple with discrimination during this time in American history.   Neil J. Smith was a boxer at the young age of 12. He continued to box for many years after and was even crowned the All-Army champion. Smith participated in various civil rights movements including, the Black Panther Party. He graduated from NYU in creative writing, poetry, and literature. He was vice president of the New York Quarterly for 15 years and is now living in upstate New York with his wife.

Through her poetry, she aims to infuse arts and music into the educational curriculum in schools throughout the US and Canada. Their stories resemble ours so much, it sometimes seems as if it is our stories—just the names have been changed.   Susan A. Katz is famous for her poems and writings. She also works as a teacher. Through her poetry workshops, she wants to integrate arts and music into the schools’ curriculums. She has three published poetry compilations and two textbooks to her credit, which she has co-authored with an Orff Schulwerk specialist, Judith A. Thomas.
